Nasal flora and epitherial cells
The bacteria comprise various systems to adapt itself to local environment. On the other hand, hostfs epithelium tissues are always contacting with exogenous bacteria and function as a physical barrier. However the epithelial cell does not derive enough inflammatory responses against the stimulation with the bacterial adhesion and infection because of its low responsiveness. Therefore, we think that these affect the colonization and the symbiosis of the normal flora, and then we perform a study to clarify those molecular mechanisms. Especially, we pay our attention to the symbiosis between flora - hosts in the nasal cavity environment. And we investigate about the pathophysiologic influence of staphylococcus aureus and other flora on allergic rhinitis.
