授業概要 Course Overview	英文科学論文における単語の選び方、構文、論文構成などの形式と書き方の基礎を学修するとともに、誤りやすい問題点を認識する。習得した知識を用いて学生自身のこれまでの研究成果に基づく英文科学論文を執筆してその推敲を行う。これらにより、履修者は、効果的な英文科学論文の書き方を習得する。さらに学生相互の論文の推敲とそれに伴う議論を通じて、英語による討論能力を涵養する。	Students will first learn the basic principles of scientific writing style and composition. They will then apply these principles by writing and editing their own research papers.
授業の到達目標（学修成果） Course Objectives (Learning Outcomes) ←SBO(Specific Behavior Objectives	1. To learn the building blocks of scientific writing in English: word choice, sentence structure, paragraph structure 2. To learn the appropriate content and organization of the IMRAD format: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion 3. To be able to identify problems commonly associated with each section of the research paper 4. Through the process of peer editing and discussion, to become familiar with explaining and discussing research in English with fellow scientists 5. To write a research paper in English by bringing together objectives (1) to (4)	1. 成績評価方法 Grading Phylosophy	研究指導教員の指導に従い、目標を大旨達成できれば合格（C以上）と評価する。学生自身の実力で目標の達成ができるようになったと判断されればB以上と評価する。独立して優れた研究を推進する知識と実行力が備わったと判断されればAと評価し、特に優れていると判断された場合はA+と評価する（上位10%）。	Acquired skills to perform research according to the instruction of research supervisors are evaluated as C or higher grade. Acquired the ability to analyze the results, the ability to plan the next study, and skills to perform research by themselves are evaluated as B or higher grade. Acquired the ability to publish the paper in high quality international journal are evaluated as A. Those who judged to be exceptional are evaluated as A+ (top 10%).
