Graduate Programs in Nursing Sciences at the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences of the University of Tsukuba

Message from the Dean

The Basic Requirements for our Master's Program in Nursing Sciences is intended to foster nursing staff including CNS certified nurse specialists (such as cancer nursing, chronic care nursing, psychiatric mental health nursing) as well as nursing educators who provide this nursing education and help them to become highly specialized professionals attaching great importance to human dignity and combining rich humanity and scientific thinking backed by high ethical standards.

Through discussions among students or with professors and by interactions enabled by the Teaching Assistant system that we are enrolling, you will get many opportunities to find and deepen which kind of nursing fits you the most. Also, we strongly believe that the leadership of our different instructors meets the subtle needs of all the students. Furthermore, all our students follow graduate general education or courses set up in other majors of our graduate school in order to be able to get interdisciplinary and international perspectives, through interactions with teachers and students from other specialties. Besides, we also provide a well equipped environment adapted to studies.

Through the two years Basic Requirements for Master's Program, you will acquire a solid approach to nursing scientific analysis and you will get support so as to gain confidence to make your first step as a researcher. Either you are already a nursing professional who questioned yourself during your nursing practice or during practical course and want to deepen your thinking or you are a nursing student, what about pursuing studies together in our Nursing Sciences Department in order to specialize and deepen your knowledge on scientifically grounded nursing?
