The training program to become a CNS Certified Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is aiming at fostering clinicians endowed with a broad knowledge and high discernment by providing theoretical knowledge such as practical nursing, education, counseling, management, ethics and research as well as supporting education to increase overall problem-solving skills in the field of psychiatric care.

Certification Requirements
  • 1.Nursing license
  • 2.Five or more years of internship (three or more years in one's specialized field of nursing and six or more months of internship after the program)
  • 3.Graduates of a Master’s program at a graduate school of nursing with credits (total of 26) of curriculum criteria for CNS Certified Nurse Specialist designated by the Japanese Association of Nursing Programs in University
