授業概要 GIO(Study Subjects)	医学生物学研究に必要な知識・技術を解説するセミナーを受講して討論に参加するとともに、その内容について関係論文を読み、レポートを作成して理解を深める。これにより、他分野について詳細に議論し応用力を磨く訓練を行うとともに、科学的文章に対する理解を深め、文章作成のための技術力向上に取り組む。	While attending seminars that elucidate the necessary knowledge and special skills in medical science and biology and participating in subsequent discussions, students will deepen their understanding by reading research papers related to the content of the seminars and writing papers. By doing so, students will gain insight into scientific writing and endeavor to improve their skills in such writing, while discussing in detail other fields of medical science and undergoing training to improve their knowledge application.
授業の到達目標（学修成果） SBO(Specific Behavior Objectives	１. セミナーに参加し、その内容について大旨説明できるようになる。 ２. 当該分野について、文献調査を行う課題を設定できる。 ３. 調べる課題に即して、読むべき論文を適切に選択できる。 ４. 選んだ課題、読んでいる論文とその内容について、他の学生と討論し、理解を深めることができる。 ５. セミナーの内容と文献調査した結果についてレポートにまとめて、科学的な文章の書き方に習熟する。	Students will be able to do the following: 1) Participate in seminars and give a general description of their contents; 2) Pose a question with literature review in appropriate fields; 3) Select scientific papers that are pertinent, should be read, and follow the topic being investigated; 4) Gain more insight into the chosen topic and the contents of the research papers being read through discussion with other students 5) Summarize the contents of the seminar and results from the literature review in the paper, and master the method of writing scientific literature.

成績評価方法 Grading Phylosophy	３回以上のセミナーを受講してレポートを提出し、その内容を大旨理解できていれば合格（C以上）と判断する。さらに、当該分野の関係論文を適切に選択して理解できている場合はB以上と判断する。前記ならびに文章作成能力について優れている場合はAと判断する。 特に優れたレポートを提出した場合は（上位10%）A+と判断する。	If a student attends three or more seminars, submits papers, and is mostly able to understand their contents, s/he will be awarded a passing grade (C or above). If a student appropriately selects a related research paper in an appropriate field and is able to understand it, a grade of B or above will be awarded. If a student demonstrates exceptional compositional ability in addition to the abovementioned qualities, a grade of A will be awarded. Among them, those who wrote superior reports are awarded A+.
学修時間の割り当て及び授業外における学修方法 Learning method	講義（セミナー）50％、　演習50％ セミナーの内容と関連分野の論文の内容について、学生同士で討論し、専門分野以外の研究について理解を深め、応用力とコミュニケーション能力の向上に努める。	Lecture (Seminar) 50%, Training 50%. Students discuss the contents of seminars and research papers in related fields with fellow students, deepen their understanding of research outside their specialty field, and endeavor to improve their abilities of knowledge application and communication.

その他（受講上の注意点等） Notes	本科目の目的を理解し、自分の専門とは異なる分野のセミナーを選んでレポートを提出すること。 一部のセミナーは筑波大学統一認証システムを用いた e-learning により視聴することも可能である。詳細は E-mail にて周知する。	In consideration of the purpose of this curriculum, students are encouraged to choose some seminars in fields that differ from their own expertise, and submit reports.                                                                    Some of seminars can be watched in e-learining system.
