Infectious Disease Control for Health Security
Toward the control for infectious diseases

Summary
In recent years, infectious diseases have emerged one after another, intensifying the global threat. As challenges, including the development of therapeutics and vaccines, pathogen surveillance, and information dissemination, become increasingly complex, there is an urgent need to cultivate professionals capable of implementing interdisciplinary solutions in society. This program, established through a collaboration between the University of Tsukuba and National Research Institutes related to infectious diseases, offers a cross-disciplinary curriculum spanning basic medicine, clinical medicine, and social medicine/public health to foster highly specialized experts in infectious disease control for health security.
