Report on Summer School in Taiwan
I had a precious time in the Taiwan summer school program. Originally I am not good at speaking English because I always hesitate to speak English. So, I thought I could improve my English speaking skill by studying in Taiwan.
The first week, we each belonged to a laboratory and we learned various experiments. In Taiwan laboratory control of reagents is much more severe than that in Japan. Of course most Taiwanese students couldn't understand and had different experiments to my experiments, so I had to talk with them in English. I felt tense.
The second week, we did experiments with Taiwanese students like PCR, western blotting and RT-PCR. Different from laboratory members, most students were undergraduates, so we taught them experimental methods. I thought it was very difficult to explain about experiments in English to students.
After I attended this program, I thought I had improved my speaking English skill. I had a great experiences which I couldn't go through in Japan.
Thank you very much for giving me such a great experience.
